Patricia's Story
Life
OK...so thats not my photo...its the only photo I had on my PC. But one of the kids is mine...AND THATS NOT ME IN THE BACKGROUND!!!Actually I was taking the picture. Times up...front row left is "Smellie Kellie"...due to her sweaty socks....alias Child #2, 13 and still growing...2 inches taller than me. Competes for the 14U Hampton Roads Vipers..3rd base..state champs 2002 and 2003 ..currently ranked #3 Nationally...with hopes of being National champs after nationals inf FLA the week of 7/25 thru 8/03. I'll keep you posted!
College
Seems like years ago....I must be getting really old because I don't remember too many specifics.....just fond memories of Susan Boor, Cathy Havrilesky, Fred Fryman, Anna Deeds(thanks for the e-mails Anna!), Jeff Cox and Deleware Ave (and wishing I was 4 years older), Mikey the motorcycle man (sorry..I forgot your last name..but I remember you lived on Candlewood!!and I drove your motorcycle), Pete Iguchi, my good friend David Mathews. I do remember the A I got in accounting theory and theorizing on how the he_ _ that ever happened. I'd love to hear from you guys...write some day when you get bored!
Workplace
Where ...Expand for more
do I start?
I love what I do,
I love the people I work with,
and I love where I work.
I'm within one mile of my 4th graders elementary school, my 8th graders middle school, and my 12th graders high school. Sometimes I wish the 12th grader went to boarding school...but theres hope...she's off to college next year!
Quick synopsis of my job: I maintain the citys debt: bonds, notes, cop's, arp's, leases, etc. I work with alot of banks and extremely impressive attorneys that I could listen to all day (some say they impress me becauseI started off a law major and switched to accounting....I say its because I'm married to a plumber who communicates on a totally differnet plane...but keeps me laughing 24/7). I'd rate my job a 10+ on a 10 point scale of loving what I do. While some would find my job boring...its my escape from an extremely hectic, fast paced life built around 3 kids that play separate year round tournament sports and a husband that lives by the mottos "You can't take it with you when your gone" and "You may not be here tomorrow to do it...so do it today". So to sum it up, work is my escape from home and home is my escape from work....there is no median.
