Patricia's Story
Here's my story. After graduation, I got a job working at Natick Labs. In 1984 I got married to Ken Dedafoe. I'd met him while I was working at Natick Labs and he had just joined the Army. 1986 had my first child, a boy named Christopher. He is 22 years old now and is in the Marine Corp serving his patriotic duty in Iraq. In 1987, my husband got stationed to Kaiserslautern, Germany. 1989, my daughter Brittany was born in a Army hospital in Landstuhl, Germany. Now she is 18 years old and is ready to go to college at Mt Olive College located in North Carolina. While in Germany, I've worked for the Air Force until 1995, when we got orders back to the states. ded up in Newport News, VA. Right now living Suffolk, VA and working at Norfolk Naval Base.
Once in a while I'll go back to Massachusetts for a visit. My last visit was in November 2007. My mother still lives in Natick in one of those senior housing apartments off Mill Street. One sister lives in Milford and the other sister lives in Northbridge.
Natick has changed a lot in the last 25-30 years. I guess for the better. Once in a while I would go by my old house in South Natick. The new owners did a good job fixing it up but I don't know why they kept the delapated garage. Sometimes I miss Massachusetts because for the four seasons but I don't miss the snow.
