Patricia's Story

Life I'm taking some time to update. We all went on a Summer trip out West for the POCI show. We flew into Denver (kids¿ first flight and 83 year old MIL in tow!) and visited with some of Pat's friends. Drove around CO and toured Pike's Peak and rode the Royal Gorge Train. Then drove to SD and saw the parks and sites there. Went gold panning - found some flakes - not enough to retire on! Bet if you panned everyday, you might just be able to make enough money to live comfortably in SD hills ;). Did the car show for a week and then drove clear across WY to see Devil's Tower and Yellowstone. Stayed at the 2 historic hotels in Yellowstone, saw the buffalo and geysers and boiling pits. Pretty cool geology (according to the kids). Well back home and back to work and school. Lil Pat is in 1st and Em is preschool. I'm back to traveling in preparation for a drug launch and Pat's back to his territory maintenance. I'm dreaming about the next family vaca! Maybe we will do the beach scene next year. Question is, do we rent here on the East coast or will I have enough points to fly us to Hawaii? Check back to see where we go! Again, we are still active in our NortheastX- If you have an old Bird or Goat - let me know! Almost won the Tommy Hilfiger Real Dreams Contest (was a finalist!) and we almost got to see our "Bolivian Son" - Albert -- maybe next year! Now we want to sponsor a girl from the Ukraine for Emmie. I'm still sweeping - I'm bound by stats to win something again. I wonder if we will have a reunion for class of 85 next year? If Ann goes, I may just too! Guess I want to see some folks before...Expand for more
we all start dying off. Workplace (same - didn't update) Did the flipping burgers routine at 16 at BK in Manville. Went on to "make the donuts" at DD in Somerville - some of the best years of my life! After Undergrad, worked at Colgate in the labs - loads of fun!! Again, some of the best years of my life! From there, worked for Church & Dwight (Arm & Hammer brands) through whom I obtained my MBA FREE OF CHARGE!!! (Books too!) After getting my Masters, worked for a small pharma consulting firm (bunch of weirdos! But some of the best Trump-like life style amenities) which was bought out by an Internet-based company during the glorious dotcom years. Pre-children fun times! Left the Internet craze before it sank for Novo Nordisk. Worked there for 7 years - have little regrets. Have thoroughly loved my life, jobs, careers and people I've met so far in my life! Hope I can reconnect with many who I have lost touch with over the years! Drop me a line - you know who you are! On the side, my husband and I started our own company back in the early 1990's selling muscle car parts. This has been a true learning experience that we continue - even though it is more of a labor of love than a true money maker at this point. But we do have a stable of cars that likely will ultimately be driven and loved by the kids rather than 2 old farts like us! With some 25 more years until retirement, I am feverishly attempting to save for a house at the beach! That's our first love for both of us - fishing off the beach, pier, or boat! Also metal detecting for treasure! There is the lottery of course...maybe one day!
