Patricia's Story
Life
After graduation, I attended Bowling Green State U. for 3 years, then joined the Navy. I spent 1 year active duty, met my husband, and spent 20 wonderful years traveling coast to coast as a Navy Wife. We have 2 great kids - a boy and a girl, and 2 beautiful granddaughters. I am a genealogist, specializing in Northwest Oklahoma history and am President of the Major Co. Genealogical Society. (I've traced my dad's line back to Halfdan The Old in 688!) I've slowed down considerably in the past 3 years and have quite a bit of trouble walking and use a cane. I may be slow but I'm still going. I find if you keep a positive attitude and have a sense of humor and faith and the knowledge that God won't ask anything of you that you can't handle, all things are possible - maybe slower but possible!
PS - did you know John Wilkes Booth died in Enid, OK in 1903 - another piece of Northwest Oklahoma History that I'm involved in. An interesting and maybe true story!
