Patricia's Story
Ciao! My sister Michelle ('77) moved to State College in 1978. I followed her to Penn State. Worked at McD Corp for 35 years. Married to an owner/operator. We owned the 4 resturants at Penn State. So, if you have been up there for a game, maybe you ate in one of our stores? Or used the restroom? LOL We bought a Winter home in Tucson AZ. Absolutely adore the southwest. It was there that my ex & parted ways. I loved living there. I managed 3 Dominos there. Single and without children allows you freedom? When my Daddy got sick I moved to FL. I spent 3 years with him before he passed. My Mama lives not far from me. My brother lives two blocks away. My sister is making her move in July. You would be amazed how many PA folks are in this vicinity! Come & visit us! Great place for a reunion south? LOL So I was married to a Rittenhouse. Now my last name will be DesLauriers. I am engaged to the finest man I have ever known. Albeit, his last name takes forever to spell, I was spoiled growing up with "West like the direction". Here in FL, I was a waitress for 2 years. I found a 500 tip under David's beer bottle while busing the table. Not a bad coaster? He continues to surprise me. Not long ago, I finally figured out that I am living with a red neck. A real honest to goodness red neck. While the doctors assure me that there is no known cure for the red neck, they do tell me that I actually have a chance of surviving? My last gift was 2 dozen red roses, just last Thursday for no reason. How romantic? Yep, compared to the Craftsman mower I got the week before? Big improvement? I am a huge NHRA drag racing fan. Tony Schummacher, nitro dragsters & nitro funny cars? Any one else out there? I have traveled the world. As a big game hunter (sounds more impressive than it is?) I have a record book Caribou registered with the Safari Club International. I have hunted & fished all over the world. Now I am a stay at home fiancee. Yes, he did the romantic proposal on Christmas Eve. He cooks too! He bought me a car for Christmas this year; a 63 Ford Galaxy. He said when he saw the purple dash board, he knew I needed that car.
