I am a graduate of Salem Classical High School in Salem, Massachusetts and received a Certificate of Accounting from Salem Commercial School also in Salem, Massachusetts.
I am a Vietnam Era Veteran having served in the U.S. Naval Reserve. I served on active duty during 1967 and 1968.
In January of 1969 I accepted a position with the Internal Revenue Service, which turned out to be the start of a 35-year career in the Federal Government.
October 10, 1971 I married my wife, Donna, and we’ll soon be celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary. At that time we set up housekeeping in Salem, N.H. where we lived for less than a year.

th the new IRS Service Center opening in Holtsville, Long Island, New York an opportunity for advancement was afforded to us. In June of 1972 we relocated to New York. Here we were able to purchase our first home and in 1973 and 1974 we were blessed with two wonderful daughters, Kathleen and Sharon.
In 1981 I was selected for a position in Management in Human Resources in Boston Ma. We were excited to be moving back home nearer our families in Massachusetts, but we chose to live in New Hampshire. In January of 1983 we purchased our home in Salem, N.H. Our daughters were educated in the Salem Public School system. Both of our daughters, their spouses and our 5 grandchildren live in Salem.
As my career progressed I was selected for several positions with increased responsibility. As a result I would travel to our Regional Office and National Office in Washington, D.C., which gives me an understanding of how many Federal Agencies function.
I retired from the Government in July of 2004 having reached a Senior Management position.".
