Patrick's Story
Life
After high school I played in a band called "the Invaders" and "the River City Rock Band". (Now I sing Karaoke. My sister Jackie and I have won 1st place 3 times as a duet in contests.) I went to teachers college in Union Grove and taught one year at Raymond Center and was the teaching principal at Caldwell Elementary for 3 years. I went into the life insurance business at age 25 and got married the same year. I'm still married to Cathy (53 yrs.) and retired in 2015 from my job as National Sales Manager for FCSLA Life, a fraternal insurance society. I have now suspended consulting for compensation, having been elected to the Board of Directors of FCSLA Life. We live on Whitewater Lake, 6 miles outside of Whitewater, WI, and enjoy the lifestyle on the water. paddle-boarding on the lake in the summer. Cathy and I travel a lot. She is a travel consultant.. She goes on a trip to Europe with the girls every year and we go together for 2 weeks in the Caribbean every winter. We spend 3 months in Florida in the winter as well. I go to Vegas now and then. (I won a Texas Hold'em tournament at the Monte Carlo in 2007). Every few years Mike and I go up to the Boundary Waters Canoe area with friends to visit the wilderness for 10 days. Lots of pictures of big fish from those trips. I had a book published. It is a collection of true humorous stories from my 40 plus years in the insurance industry. It is a popular read among sales people, especially insurance agents. I'm still in good shape and my mis-spent youth has served me very well in real life. If I could do it all again I think I wouldn't have changed very much. I'm pretty lucky!!
