Patrick's Story

Life After graduation, I attended UTEP for 1 semester and later transferred to Texas Tech University. I graduated in 1972 with a BFA in Advertising Design and a minor in Advertising Photography. Went to Dallas to start my career and have been there ever since. Had the opportunity to work at one of the top advertising agencies in the country as a senior advertising art director. le experience, I ventured out to start my own design firm. It became quite successful and had it for 15 years. Abruptly became a single parent to 2 great kids. They are grown up now, with my son being 24 years old and my daughter 20 years old. Have had opportunity to travel quite extensively around the world. It's a far cry from the atmosphere of El Paso, but the people are still some of the friendliest anywhere.

This park is always packed on Friday and Saturday nights, as there are free jazz and salsa concerts for dancing. Just bring your own lounge chairs. There are even food trucks.
