Patrick's Story
Life
Living the American Dream in the ATL! Married, 2 children, big house, 4 cars, 2 dogs, 1 cat, 3 fish, and a bird named Berd. Working from whenever I get to the office to whenever I leave, but I try to do a 8 to 5. Gained a typical 15 pounds since high school, but you would never know it. Got a degree in communications, but decided to sell office furniture instead. Don't knock it until you try it. Traveled all over Southeast Asia and had a pretty good time doing it, even if Bin Laden was out to kill me. I have been to 4 different country's capitals, but not my own.....D.C. will be this spring of '05.
School
Well, those who knew me know that I can get bored very easily....never a dull moment when I am around, and I can do it without it being at someone else's expense. I married my highschool crush, and divorced her 12 years later....man, what a waste of time....no, it makes us who we are....no, it really was a waste of time!
I can remember going to a party and seeing one of my teachers there. She obviously was having a good time and the next thing I knew, she was kissing me (guys, you would have wanted to have this one kissing you). Needless to say, I got a better grade than I deserved and an incenti...Expand for more
ve to go to school. No, I didn't sleep with her, but I would not have been the fool and told if I did like some of these guys you hear on the news. he he he
Anyway, I was good at school. How many people do you know that skipped morning classes, went to Daytona and drove around on the beach, and still passed all of their classes? I made my first B when I met my future ex. hmmm...distractions.
My favorite teachers were Mr. Monk and Mrs. Satkoviak. They knew how to relate to the kids and knew how to teach.
College
I waited 10 years to go to college. Good thing I did, I would have never made straight A's otherwise. I can remember working a full-time job, a part0time job, and still taking 6 classes per semester (we had three semesters instead of 2) I did get my degree in 3 years 4 months instead of the average 5 years. I remember getting home at 1 am, going to bed and getting up at 5 am to go to work.....taking weekend classes, online classes....I look back now and wonder just how in the hell I did it.
Workplace
It is all a blur to me....I zoom in, "fix" problems, zoom back out.....wait! I mean, I sell office furniture. Anybody want to buy a desk?
Military
Never saw any action.....I'm ok with that.
