Patrick's Story
Life
Life, what can I say? I married my highschool sweetheart Rachael back in 2003. We are now enjoying our lives in our house in Stoney Creek, far enough away from St.catharines, but too close to Hamilton. Still in touch with some people from highschool like Phil, who has just welcome his second baby girl into the world, congrats. And Mike, who now lives with his girlfriend, and we thought you were gay. I do miss those days in my mothers basement and my life as a teenage alcohalic, currupting the lives of all who attended.
So what have I been up to? Well, bent on prooving all those who bet on me to fail in life, I have accomplished more than anyone could ever predict. After life at West Park I moved on to Niagara College and received a 2 year diploma and built my portfolio. I was then accepted into the first class of the Sheridan/York University Bachelor of Design Program. Graduated 4 years later, on the Dean's Honour Roll with my Degree.
Profesionally, I have worked for big and small companies including Quebecor and Rogers Communications. Working on accounts for The Home Depot, The Shopping Channel, Adidas, Windsor Salt and currently for the coffe...Expand for more
e company Reunion Island Coffee... mmm coffee!
What's left? I'd like to pay off my student loan sometime this decade, but that remains to be seen. Rachael and I really need a honeymoon, so if you now live somewhere warm and would like our company, giddy-up. Children, they will probably come in the next 2-3 years, eventhough most may think I shouldn't produce offspring. Professionally I'd like to break into movie titling ala Kyle Cooper, or maybe move somewhere design is appreciated, but Rachael is a real home body so I doubt that will happen.
Workplace
I started out working at The Shopping Channel for a three month contract. From there I moved on to Quebecor, I couldn't stand the commute to Markham so I took a position in Oakville for half the money. I lasted about 8 months at 3H Communications working for a real bitch, she couldn't stand me pointing out her mistakes so she fired me, I thought she would be too cheep. It took all of 3 days to find my current position at Reunion Island Coffee, where I design POP and packaging for coffee, a little monotonous but, the people are great, and all the free coffee and capuccinos I want, what could be better.
