Well first lets get the introductions down. My name is Patrick Nichols and I'm 43 years old. Twenty years ago 43 seemed so old to me. Now that I am I still feel like a 18 year old.
I was born and lived in Denver area for my first 19 years. I attended Sts Peter and Paul Catholic School, went to North Arvada Junior High and then To Alameda High School for final 3...Expand for more
years. I worked at the self proclaimed "World Famous" White Fence Farm for 3 years. After a year of slacking off after graduation (enjoying the beach in California and touring Europe)
I joined the US Coast Guard in 1988 and set off for an adventure to the great unknown. Two rating (Sonar Technician and Marine Science Technician) and countless travels around the U.S. I am NOW RETIRED from the United States Coast Guard where I worked as the Chief of All Hazards Environmental Response. I have lived all over the US and visited Europe, Central American, Japan and Russia.
From May 2010 to July 2011, I have been working the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico (in Mobile, AL and New Orleans, LA) and then in July 2011 to Sept 2011, I worked the Yellowstone river oil spill in Billings, MT. I call them homes as I spent more time there in the past two years than with my family in Arvada.
Currently I am a Technical Trainer for The Response Group. I provide emergency response (NIMS/ICS) training and Hazwoper training to the majority of the Oil companies in the US. lucky for me I get to work from my home, when I am home. Lots and lots of travel.
I am Married to my bride of 21 years and have two wicked smart girls. One that I'm sure someday will be acting on Broadway. The other hopefully a big name recording artist or Opera Singer. I miss the beach but decided that the Mile High City would be our Home. and that is the 90 sec snapshot of me to date.".
