Patrick's Story
After leaving CHS I wasn't quite ready for college so I decided to blow off going to school first quarter which irritated my mother. She explained it this way; you either go to college or move out of my house, it's your choice.
Living at home wasn't bad since it was rent free and included groceries, heat/air and cable TV; what more could you want? It wasn't long before realizing that all my friends were off having a great time at various Universities around the country that I finally enrolled into Sinclair. Since I was paying my own way through school I attended Sinclair 2 out of 3 quarters for a couple of years before transferring to Ohio State during the fall of 88.
I spent 4 years at OSU pursing various degrees until I settled on Communication and finished up during the spring of 92. During my years at OSU I joined the Delta Chi Fraternity and enjoyed making new friends, attending numerous parties and loving football Saturdays.
After graduation I moved back home while spending time finding my first job. I spent a couple years back in Centerville before moving out to the University of Oklahoma in 94 where I followed my fiancé at the time. ere I spent another year and half working as a sales representative until a friend introduced me to his company located in Cincinnati.
I've been in Cincinnati since 1997 working in the Information Technology Industry both as a sales representative and currently (2013) the Director of Recruiting for Ascendum Solutions, LLC.
During 1999 I took a year off of work and played the stock market. I spent time working on family genealogy and volunteering for the American Red Cross. In addition, I took a 33 day drive around the United States heading out to Denver, Dodge City Kansas, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, New Orleans, Panama City Beach FL, Savannah GA, Charleston SC, Richmond VA, Baltimore, Columbus, OH and back to Cincinnati.
My next big adventure took me to Ireland in 2000. There I spent time researching my Irish Family history and enjoyed meeting the people and having a few pints. The Irish people love Americans and nearly every time I introduced myself someone would say "welcome home!"
During the spring of 2002 I met my wife at Aglamesis, a hometown ice cream store, located in Oakley; neighborhood of Cincinnati Ohio. From there we were married in 2003 and have 4 wonderful children.
