Patrick's Story
I really wasn't well known or anything during High School as I had moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho from Chicago in '77...after graduating in '79, I went to NIC for about a year and a half...didn't last long there as I began partying way too much...most especially at the Fort Ground Tavern and Peabody's...still have my old Peabody's t-shirt! I then decided to get the hell outta dodge and went to Seattle University and graduated in March of '85 with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing Degree...I worked as an RN in Critical Care for 10 years at Swedish Medical Center/Seattle. During my years in Seattle, I became interested in both Art and Music and essentially cut both my "artist" and "music" teeth in Seattle. I also began travelling extensively with my girlfriend at the time throughout the world. During a 6wk jaunt to Italy and France, I began painting and upon return home to Seattle, became a "self-taught" Artist...I also immersed myself in the Seattle Scene from it's infancy to it's "implosion" in '95 when I eventually decided I had had enough of Seattle's grey skies and drizzle and...Expand for more
moved back to Spokane in '95. I had previously had a number of Art Exhibit's in Seattle over the years and when I moved back to Spokane, I found opportunity after opportunity to do art show's...I became well known in Spokane for my crazy Art Car's I would paint and drive everywhere without shame wreaking havoc everywhere I went...I also dropped out of Nursing after a 20 year career and started the old SPIKE coffee house and "underground" music venue in Spokane (RIP) and then did music and art show booking for a number of years...I support all Arts and Music Passionately! These day's, I work seasonally as an AASI Certified Snowboard Instructor up at Mt. Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park...it's a "grown-up" job and essentially, I get paid to Snowboard! How cool is that? For more crazy stuff about me, go to: myspace and find thedudeofspokane or I can be found on Facebook search: Patrick Walsh I will try to keep this updated, but the best bet is either of the above websites.
My Passions are: Flyfishing, Snowboarding, Roadtripping, Art, Music, Coffee and much much much more! PEACE!
