Patrick's Story

Life I got my forestry degree from Stephen F. Austin in 1979. I moved to Washington State in 1980. I was working for the U.S. Forest Service next to Mt. St. Helens until I could not handle the ash any longer. I got married in 1981 and Julie and I are about to celebrate number 25 We have two daughters Jennifer and Laura. Jen is 23 and Laura is 22. Yes they are 14 months apart. Jen graduated as a marine biologist from the Western Washington University. She is working for a private consulting firm. Laura is living in Reno, going to school and wants to be a Dietitian. After the Forest Service, I attempted many different career paths and I finally liked working for a local magazine publisher until I was laid off in August of 2001. Community College in June of 2004 with an Associates Degree in Computer Network Technology. I was working part-time for the University of Washington Bothell in the computer support department. Now I am working for Siemens Business Services. I am a helpdesk service technician at Microsoft. I fix desktop and laptop computers. I went to work for Car Toys/Wireless Advocates. Car Toys is in Washington, Oregon, Colorado and Texas. Wireless Advocates is the Cell Phone kiosks in Costco and Military Base Exchanges..Worked in IT for the last 13 years with them. Retiring in June moving to Spokane to be close to daughter, son-in-law and grand daughter. Have a grandson in Austin. I would enjoy hearing from anyone that can tell me if Spring Woods is still standing.
