Patrick's Story
what's up guys?well,we're halfway there.what do ya'll think so far?i can't complain.except when they took the lime out of starburst.....that part really sucked.
anyway, about me these days.after c.r.l.s. i studied architecture at syracuse for a couple of years and ran track there as well.i competed in the penn relays.'didn't do too well, but,i got to shake bill cosby's hand.later that year,i just missed making the olympic trials for 1984 in the 400 intermediate hurdles,by less than a tenth of a freakin' second.so,i never got to go to l.a. and compete.
i decided the track program there sucked and tried to transfer to penn state, but couldn't get into there architecture program and i didn't want to waste my time studying (f)arts and compliances(a.k.a. sciences).so,i got an office job in the prudential and they offered tuition re-imbursement at the b.a.c.
me and offices don't get along, however.so,needless to say after a few years of that,i got a job as a landscaper and became a blues musician.
landscaping ultimately got me on the construction crew, which caused me to realize i love working with stone.so i started being a laborer with masonry companies.then, somewhere along the line, not sure when, exactly,i became a stonemason.then i started realizing i do better work than all my bosses.so,why do ...Expand for more
i have one?
so,i quit, right after i got fired, and started my own company,Artisan Stoneworks.for the first couple of years i advertised, now it's just word of mouth.
i'm still single with no kids.i've had a couple of great ones that i would have took the plunge with(they didn't see it that way, though).but, like they say in "a bronx tale",everybody gets three great ones in there lifetime.number three's got to be around the corner.it's certainly not the woman i'm seeing now!!and if she ever reads this, there's another argument i really don't want to have...
i've also got a really cool band.we're called,"All of the Above"i play lead guitar and write some of the songs.it's blues/rock with a funky edge.i'm also currently in a nationwide poetry contest.i'm in the semi-finals and the finals are in the end of september.they've already told me i'm being published in a book their putting together.i'm psyched!
i also have a time-share condo in the white mountains.i'm currently living in watertown,ma.and it's nice to get the hell outta 'dodge' every once in a while and ride horses, shoot a bow and arrow(targets, not critters) and just walk around that amazing place.
well, that's pretty much me these days.it'd be awesome to hear from anyone out there who wants to say what's up.
