Patrick's Story
I quit school in Feb 1975 to join the Coast Guard, went to boot camp Mar 10th 1975 after boot camp I was stationed aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Courageous (622) until mar 1976 I then went to Gunnersmate school in Governors Island New York finished school in July 1976 was transfered to Hawaii on board the Coast Guard Cutter Mellon (717) for two years from there I was stationed in Galveston Tx for 18 months, during the tour in Galveston I got married, we...Expand for more
nt to Marine Safety School in Yorktown Va., was then stationed in Ketchican Ak for four years during those four years we had two fantastic sons after the tour in Alaska I was transfered back to Hawaii aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Jarvis (725) for four years, then I was stationed in Long Beach Ca for five years during the tour in Ca. my youngest son was born,after that I was transfered here in ohio for five years where I retired as a chief Gunnersmate.
