Patsy's Story

Life We are now retired and do pretty much as we please. We don't travel much, because we are enjoying our home, in North Federal Way, WA. We do visit our daughter, in San Francisco, from time to time. Also visit Maui once a year. When I wrote this, it was before our 49th anniversary, but this year, Sept. 28, 2007, we will be celebrating our 50th anniversary, with the renewing of our wedding vows, on Maui, HI. Les and I celebrated our 50 wedding annversary, Sept. 29, 2007, at an old church, on the compound of our very close friends, The Kaahui Family. We had the honor of about 50 of our closest island friends, as well as our daughter, two sons, our niece and nephew. It was a true Hawaiian celebration, as we exchanged our renewal vows, and rings we had bought for each other. The Kahu (minister) who did the service, did so, with the words she wrote especially for Les and I. It was truly a beautiful ceremony, something we will take with us the rest of our lives. Written, 11/07/2011. It is now 4 years since we celebrated our 50th anniversary. We still live in Federal Way WA and now have two more great granddaughters, Adrianna, 4 and Kyah 1. Brooklynn, will soon be 9. Their parents, Josh, our grandson, our oldest sons son, and his wife, Anna, are the parents of these lovely great granddaughters. Les and I still enjoy our lives in the "slow lane," of retirement, but Les still likes to umpire for the Boeing Softball League. This keeps him busy in Spring and Summer, and gives me my free time on the days he is umpiring. W...Expand for more
e still enjoy our vacations, every year, on Maui, and continue to add to our O'hana's, (family) of many island families as well as those we see every year, who also have Timeshares at Maui Sunset. We have been very blessed with the many friends we have been in touch with from our good ole James A., including Georgene Clagg Haley, and Larry and Judy Corpuz. We, Georgene and I have decided, if she is up to it, to have a 55th Garfield reunion at a place, we decide. So that's about all for now. So until we meet again. God Bless You and Keep You. Pat (Merriweather) Gee It is now 2016, and Les and I are still enjoying our "mature" senior citizen lives. Our son Darin and his wife, Diana, still live in Burien, WA. have two of our grandchildren, I didn't mention the last time. Their son, Branden, will be 25 and has attended Degipin, Institute of Tech. and is now working for a gaming company, in Redmond, WA. Their daughter, Natalie, will be 20, this summer, and is attending WSU. Told her she was a trader, but at least she's here in this State. Les will be 80, in Sept. and all of us, our children, and Les and I, are going on a Panama Canal cruise to celebrate this milestone. yeahhhhh! Our son David's son, Josh and daughter-in-law, Anna's three girls are now Brooklynn, 13, Addie 8 and Kyah 5. They live in the Bonney Lake area. God Bless to all, but don't really miss too many former classmates. But do feel sad about those we have lost.
