Patsy's Story
Hello to All my friends from FPHS. It has been such a very long time since our days together. So much has happened along the way. As most of you remember my Father was transferred in my senior year. I can't tell you how devastating that was. After going to school with most of you from elementary, Jr. High, and then High School it was horrible. Well, I survived! I married in 1969 and have two wonderful daughters, and three Grandchildren. Through the years my fondness of Entertaining and cooking became apparent. I have owned four restaurants and catering business across the South. I became a Certified Event Planner and have planned and executed many parties from intimate small gatherings to large parties of 1000. If I had to choose one thing that I enjoy most it would be cooking and entertaining. I am still very true to my Southern ways. I love having a beautiful home, enjoy working in the yard, Yes I love to mow grass, plant flowers and have people admire my yard. Christmas is my most favorite time of y...Expand for more
ear. My house is always decorated to the max. Some people say it looks like Southern Living. To me it is just what I do.
Much to my dismay, several years ago I had a very unexpected turn of bad health. I had three heart attacks, and triple by-pass surgery. Well, that was certainly a shock. Didn't realize that I was sick. My career as a caterer and restaurant was not to be anymore because of the stress and lifting demands that sort of job puts on you.
Well, as not to linger and bore you with stuff you really don't need to know. I now am the Author of My Little Bit Southern Cookbook. It is a cookbook that highlights my years in the restaurant and catering business. It includes my Award Winning recipes , customer favorites, as well as some of my family heritage recipes.
Thank you for all the wonderful memories of my High School years with you guys. My mind tells me it was just yesterday but my age says different. I remember so much about all of you. Would love to hear from you sometime. Fondly, Patsy
