My Spouse
We met in a psychiatric hospital!! No, seriously, we were both working there. It was an adolescent facility. He was a counselor, and I worked a couple of nights a week tutoring students who were in the middle of a semester of Spanish and needed to finish the credit.
My Kids
I homeschool my boys (the 2 oldest). My middle child is mildly autistic. He had a rare seizure disorder in infancy and was not expected to ever be more than a vegetable. Praise God, he was healed of the seizures, and he is a walking miracle. My daught...Expand for more
er, the baby, was born seven months after I turned forty! She is a special blessing. My oldest is also a miracle -- we were told that we were hopelessly infertile and would never have biological children. All three were born with no medical intervention.
My Job
I teach Spanish two nights a week at the University of Texas at Arlington. In the summers I work four mornings a week (same place) while my husband, a teacher, stays home with the kids. I used to teach high school (13 years), and I really enjoy working with adult students now.
