Pat's Story

Life I actually graduated from Griffin Christian Academy in Jan. 1973. I also attended Oak Cliff Christian Academy for a year. I attended Lakewood Elm.until the district lines were changed and then was sent over to Robert E. Lee. Then on to J.L. Long Jr. High prior to going into private school. I was a wild hippie type girl and got into more trouble running away from home during 1969 with my best friend, Desiree, so my parents gave in and put me in private school. Most of the people I knew during HS were from Woodrow Wilson so I decided to register here. If you knew me then, please email me a note! I have been divorced twice, currently single and don't know that I will ever marry again. I do not have any children nor do I intend to have any either!! I've worked in many different fields over the years and found success in sales for many of them. About 17 years ago I got a broken PC and that changed my life! Soon after repairing that old 486 on my own, I landed a job at Microsoft as a Support Engineer. I then went to work at IBM as a Technical Engineer in the E-Commerce Development Division located in Austin. After several years working IBM contracts/projects across the US; 12 moves in 8 years, I now work as a Sr. Web Systems Engineer - Web Administrator I guess I shouldn't have turned down that scholorship to UT when it was offer...Expand for more
ed!! Oh well, I got here, just took a little longer is all! It's crazy how life makes so many twists and turns along the way, especially if you never had a real plan for what your life was going to be like. I just wanted mine to be full of adventure and excitement and it has been.. So I guess that was the plan and I have lived up to it so far. Went to Australia and ended up staying Down Under for nearly 2 years, met my Ex-husband and traveled all over the Land of OZ, New Zealand, Tahiti, Fiji and Hawaii. Now I travel extensively for pleasure, Hawaii and Mexico yearly. I try to do one trip a year to a bucket list destination. This year instead of the bucket list, I went to Belize in April since I have bought a lot on Ambergris Caye for my retirement location. What a beautiful place San Pedro and Ambergris Caye is. The people, the lifestyle, the water, and the reef were simply amazing!! I can't wait to build my island house down there and spend the rest of my days on the beach, snorkeling and drinking a cold Belikin beer!! Mmmmmm.. How sweet that will be..:-) If you knew me way back then and want to say Hi, please do! Drop me a note, I'd love to hear from you! I would love to catch up with some of you and see how your life has turned out.. I hope it has been filled with adventure, joy and much happiness.. texblondi2 at ya hoo!
