Patti's Story
Life
I graduated from Sherwood in '75 and went on to Laurier for 13. I knew everything, as most teens do, and decided to quit to get a job. Got married in '76 and had two daughters. Got divorced in '85 finally. I met the love of my life in '86 and he helped me raise my daughters who are now 26 and 23. We had a son born in '94 who is now 12. Our granddaughter is 5. My love passed away suddenly this past May, but we had a great 20 years together.
I worked in the insurance industry and then turned to legal as a law clerk. I'm now self employed as a law clerk, working for lawyers from home.. the same home where I...Expand for more

I actually returned to Sherwood in '86 to get my grade 13 so I could go to Mac, not knowing I could have applied as a mature student. I walked into Mrs. Flynn's english class and they thought I was the teacher. Did a year at Mac, going to university and raising 2 little girls as a single mom was not fun and unfortunately I dropped out again.
My Mom has alzheimers and is in Grace Villa. She still has her great sense of humour, and loves having these "nice people" visit with her, although most times she doesn't have a clue who we are. That's ok, we all have a good time anyway.
