Patti's Story
I am married to Craig Varner. He's a 1977 Graduate of Central Davidson. I have two grown daughters, and a grandson, who just turned 1. My husband is permanently disabled due to a malignant brain tumor in 2005. He was not supposed to survive. God knew better! I have a medical degree so I was able to take care of him at home as he underwent treatments. We now enjoy everyday together and cherish each moment as something special. I also took over the management of our rental property when he got sick. That keeps me busy. I've learned alot about household repairs! My youngest daughter, Rachael, whom you see in the pictures, has Down Syndrome. She is a deligh...Expand for more
t and a very mature and bright young lady. She takes dance lessons, is a great swimmer and bowls on a youth league, most recently bowling a 194! I don't bowl with her anymore, she's way too good. She is 19 and a senior at Ledford High. She works part time at the Oaks Nursing Home. My oldest daughter Jessica is married to Kevin, also a Central Davidson boy (gotta love 'em!) and they live in Linwood with the absolute delight of my life, my grandson Rance. We are active members of Meadowview Presbyterian Church, involved in choir, teaching SS, missions, VBS. etc. I have two pets, a dog Buddie, and a Indian Ringneck Parrot, Alex, who likes to talk alot.
