Life is wonderful. I have been truly blessed. My life's journey is so different from what I envisioned.
Immediately after graduating from Schofield, my family moved to Wilmington, NC. I graduated from SC State in 1974 with a major in Professional Mathematics, then went to work as a computer programmer in Boston for 18 months. I would say that life as a single Black female living in Back Bay Boston was very challenging. I quit my job and moved back home. I moved to Oxon Hill, MD in September 1976, got a job as a bookkeeper, and begin my life in Metropolitan Washington, DC.
Since then, I have worked for the US Department of the Navy and US Department of the Treasury as an IT Specialist. I retired with over 42 years ...Expand for more
of federal government service. Now, I am continuing my second career as a realtor.
God have been good to me. I am a deaconess and youth leader in my local church and the director for religious education for one of districts in my national church. I now I am doing things and going places I never dreamed for myself.
Currently, I am living in Capitol Heights, MD. Life is wonderful. I am blessed. Although the world say I have very little, I can say I have all I need and much of what I want because my Father is rich. Therefore, I am rich.
