Pattie's Story
Life
I am currently living in Missouri City, TX (a suburb of Houston) and have been living here since 1977. My ex husband was from Syracuse & we met in College at SUNY Brockport.
Life for the past 23+ years in Texas has been good. The summers are long & hot but you don't have to shovel snow. I have a 20 year old daughter who is currently taking her 2nd semester sophomore year off from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX to perform on a Disney Cruise Ship. She is having the time of her life cruising around the Bahamas.
I have been in the magazine & book business for the last 17 years & am currently a sales rep for a book company.
Life is good in Texas. It is definately a 'state of mind' which has to be acquired. After almost 24 years, I've picked up alot of it but still try to maintain some NY whenever possible!
I'm looking forward to my 30th reunion this summer!

Update-(9/2002) I have gone back to teaching after 23 years. I am teaching PE & Health in a nearby Middle (Jr. High) School. It is a challenge & great fun! My 21 year old daug...Expand for more
hter has now just started her 1st year as a 2 year Senior at college. She loves it & will hopefully graduate in May 2004 with a degree in Musical Theater & be gainfully employed on Broadway sometime soon after that!!
UPDATE - (7/2004) My daughter has graduated with a degree in Musical Theater and will be touring and performing (singing & dancing)in a Rodgers & Hammerstein Tour with Matt Davenport Productions this fall. We are excited! A paying job!!!
UPDATE (3/2006) My daughter is currently living in NYC & supporting herself & auditioning for shows. Key words - 'supporting herself' YEAH! I am still teaching & coaching & spend most of my summers traveling visiting family & friends.
UPDATE ( 7/2008) I am still teaching & traveling visiting family & friends & catching up with my daughter when she is performing. Most recently in Swing on the Jersey Shore & West Side Story in Morgantown WVA.
10-09. Just moved from an apartment to a house---bought all on my own - Yeah me!! My daughter was in for a few days- spending a week visiting family & friends then back to NYC. Volleyabll season is over, the weather is slightly colder & I just may find some time to UNPACK!!
