Patty's Story
Life
Bruce and I will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in 2007.
We are down to us and the dog and recently became empty-nesters. Our son, Christopher graduated college and is a band director in Aledo, Texas. He's very, very happy. Emily just started college and is aiming for a BFA with a major in dance.
I quit my corporate job of 17 years about 6 years ago and now work as an office manager at what was previously Emily's dance studio. I love my job. I hated the 17 year stint and much prefer working with families and kids.
Bruce works very hard in sales. He sells specialized flooring to schools and universities. His hard work as paid off in that each year he has qualified for the annual trip. We have been to Canada twice, the Bahamas, cruise on a yacht and this year we are going on ...Expand for more
the big trip to Italy.
College
Officially I graduated from Cal State Northridge. I left for Texas needing only one class to satisfy my degree. After getting married and having our son, I finally completed that class and transferred it to CSUN - thereby having the less-than-eventful graduation and receiving my diploma in the mail.
Workplace
Was a research assistant and database analyst for Boys & Girls Clubs of America for 17 years. I left that job the attend to a cranky teenager. I then started working as an office manager of my daughter's dance studio. I am able to keep up my computer skills with managing the website and the constant design and perfection of the database. I love this job. It's so much better hanging around people that want to be here and spending the day with happy kids.
