Patty's Story
After graduating from Arlington High School I attended Texas Christian University, majoring in elementary education and minoring in art. While at college, I was a member of the TCU Rifle Team and Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. It was at TCU that I met my sweetheart, Haskell (Hack) and we married a week after my graduation. We have been married for forty-four years, raised two children and put them through college.
Our son, Lee, has a degree in biology from the University of North Texas and our daughter, Elizabeth, has a degree in political science from Texas Tech University. They both attended Arlington ...Expand for more
High School, where Elizabeth was recipient of The Fielder Award (Most Outstanding Student) in 2002. Lee and Elizabeth both live and work in Fort Worth. They are third generation of AHS graduates in the Wright/Rogers family.
Teaching has always played a big part in my life. I taught second, third and fourth grades in the Arlington Independent School District and two years at Walnut Creek Private school, totaling 25 years of teaching. I retired in 2009 and enjoy family, gardening, reading, friends and cultivating my passion through mixed media scrapbooking. I have a blog and have posted my work there.
