Patty's Story
Life
I have been happily married for almost 26 years to my best friend and truly my soul mate. We have two wonderful children: Sarah is 23 and Christopher is 21. Both are married - Sarah for a while but Christopher is a newlywed. He married his first love and his high school sweetheart, Deena, while home on leave in October. They are happily (I hope)at home in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Sarah married another Christopher who brought to our family his 11 year old son, Aaron. He is a joy. They have given us two more grandsons, Drew who is 3 and little Jacob who will be 2 in December. They really light up my life. I think grandchildren are God's way ...Expand for more
of giving us a second chance! Life is good and God continues to bless me everyday.
School
Gary Lavalley was my most memorable teacher. He had such a way of making history come alive. He was a very special educator.
Military
Just an FYI for all who care about our soldiers: My son, Christopher, is in the US Army and will be deploying to Afghanistan on Personal Security Detachment in February. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, as well as all our young men and women who are serving to protect us. Whether you agree or disagree with this horrible war, they need our support. Wear a red shirt every Friday to honor them. Thank you all.
