Paul's Story
Ok, here goes!
Like many, I felt that I did not fit in while in high school, nothing new in that. I think I acted like a prick and for that I apologize . I was lucky ,I was turned on right before graduation and found the correct path to a happy life. I built and raced dragsters, I helped build a sixty foot sail boat, I learned to scuba dive in 65 and have dived all over the world. I "lived" in the Haight. I became involved in the music scene. I built and played musicial instruments( I play Bass) I started to travel, have visited every continent except Antartica ( just too cold) I have been able to compete in sports all my life, Speed Skated, Raced bikes through my 40's, raced with Greg LeMonds Father,Raced Inline skating ultra long distance. Lived in La Honda from 77 to 97. Taught Yoga, studied Yoga in India with BK Iyngar ,Got married in 98 to my lovely wife Amber...Expand for more
, Retired in 2000. Moved to Hawaii. Got involved in Out Rigger canoe racing. Went to the World Championships, started to build Ukuleles, still doing that now, I now coach canoe racing on the Big Island.
I have never felt what a person does for money is important but I know that others do so...while going to school,SM Jr.College, City College and SF State, took a while to finish ,Hmmmm. I built and repaired musical instruments, worked construction, worked for the City and County of SF in Juvinile Court, that sucked being around that kind of environment. Was a district Administrator at San Moteo Union High Scool Dist.
I think what is important is that I am happy. Somehow I have been blessed with great family members both the family that I grew up in and the family that I now have, A son from the early years a, fantastic Grand daughter and My wife Amber and her/my daughter.
