Paul's Story
Since leaving Ken High, I spent 3 years in the army, serving 1 1/2 years in Vietnam, mostly in a helicoptor unit, as a door gunner. I've been living in Phoenix, Az since 1972. Finished my Associate's Degree at Phoenix College soon after, and attended ASU part-time for several yrs, but never finished. Something I totally regret now! Worked in the resort/hotel industry in the food and beverage departments, and became a chef in the mid eighties, then became the food and beverage controller at a five-star resort for about 5 years. The money didn't match the titles and time required to be put in, and realized I could make more money simply working at the Post Office. at son Nicolas, who is 23, married, and living in Minnesota with his wife, Lee Ann, a teacher, and Minnesota native. Nicky is finishing up his degree at MSU. I love to golf, but haven't been able to play for the past year, since I've had rotator-cuff surgery on both shoulders. Almost back to normal now, and can't wait to get out with my golfing buddies soon! I've kept in touch, over the years, with some of my high school buddies, that I hung out with in my "Jaguar" days at Kensington, and it's great that I'm in contact with many more, now that I've joined classmates.com! I haven't been to any of the reunions so far, but have signed up to attend the 45th reunion in 2012, and I also hope to meet even more of my classmates then!
