Paul's Story
I spent three winters working in the Antarctic including 2001 when we evacuated the dying doctor from the south pole. Spent 15 months working in Afghanistan, 2006-07 a couple months working in a top-secret villa in Libya and several months working on the US Embassy in Beijing China. I taught a couple of classes in a Russian auto factory back in the 90s. On the lighter side in my 30s I camp across 23 African countries and hitchhiked 5000 miles across a third of them. I loved traveling 5000 miles on trains all around India and hiking the Annapurna trail in the Himalayas. ade travel the focus of 20 years of my life and traveled to seven continents and 85 countries. Now, in 2018, I am semi retired, I work eight days a month. I plan on breaking ground on my log cabin/home in Northern Michigan in the spring. Once the foundation is in I plan on finishing the rest myself.
I missed the last reunion, I wish somebody had mentioned it to me, if I were in the country I would’ve certainly attended.
Update, August 26th 2020.....
I retired last month.. I am thinking of traveling for the next two years. I bought a fiberglass trailer and hope to drive across Canada and Alaska in the spring. If there is a reunion, please let me know!!! I am in the book.
