Paul's Story
Some people might remember I worked at the Getty Gas Station on Hempstead Turnpike throughout high school and College
After graduating SUNY Farmingdale with a Degree in Automotive Technology, I worked for 14 years for a Large Import Dealer Group on Long Island. In 1993 I went to work for Mercedes-Benz USA as a Service and Parts Operations Manager. In 2001 I left Mercedes-Benz and went to work for Porsche Cars North America as a Field Technical Manager. and provide technical assistance to 46 dealers in eastern states (NY, NJ, Ct, Pa., Del., Md., Wash. DC, Va., and W. Va.). I travel a great deal, but really enjoy my work. I have always been interested in Porsche Automobiles, and have owned and raced them for the last 20 plus years, so my job is the realization of a long term passion for these automobiles.
I work at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City as an Earth and Space, and Fossil Explainer on alternating weekends - I guess the science geek stayed with me after high school.
I'm still on Long Island, and wonder what some of the people from High School are up to.
