Here are my 4-year-old granddaughter Taylor as a dancer and almost 2 Ellie as a bumblebee for Halloween yesterday.
Thinking about the folks this holiday season. Lost both in 2011. Dad would be 94 on Christmas, and Mom 91 on Dec. 26. Love and miss you both.
My late Dad, Al Gilkes, and I on Christmas 2007. My Dad was born Christmas Day, 1918. Sure do miss him.
Since I'm looking forward to my 59th birthday on April 17, I thought I'd share a photo of all the fun I had on my first birthday in 1955.
Thinking of Mom in anticipation of Mother's Day. Think of her every day since she went to meet Dad in Heaven in April 2011.
Got to see my 5-year-old granddaughter Taylor Meiring in her dance recital Saturday night. Here's she's dressed like Tinker Bell in the routine, "I Won't Grow Up."
March/April 2014 will mark three years since the parents passed three weeks apart. Dad will have been 95 on Christmas Day and Mom 92 on Dec. 26. Miss them both, especially at this time of year.
