Paul's Story
Life
Lived in the Midwest for 15 years, first two years of HS at Lyons Township in Illinois; last two at La Sierra HS in Carmichael, CA. College at California State University, Sacramento, then teaching. After 20 years of teaching school (and concurrently being a parttime soldier (Army National Guard), I got the opportunity to go on active duty. ontractor, then another, then another. Completed 15 years with that last firm and then went part time, working 20 hrs/week in same Army Program Manager office where I have been for the last 12 years. I don't work Mon of Friday so every weekend is a 4 day weekend.. The money now is great, but for a feeling of accomplishment, my time teaching was by far the best. I get back to Calif about 4 times a year - still have family there. Considering life as a whole - it has been a good run.
