Paul's Story

Wow where do I begin, in November 1969 I quit school to go in the army and volunteer for service in Vietnam ( I did get a GED in the army) after Nam I went to Germany. While home on leave I married Pam Strader and she went back to Germany with me until I got discharged. I have three kids my oldest Shelly 42, my son Mike, 38, and my youngest Ashley she was an oops she's 23. For thirty three yrs I worked as a tower crane operator mostly in Down town Chicago I was blessed to have a job like that as it allowed me to retire at 57 yrs old, still young enough to enjoy life and do what ever I want. In 1976 my Union sent me to Saudi Arabia to teach the Saudis how to run heavy equipment, that proved to be an exorcize in futility and after only 4 months I pulled the pin and came home. I lived in Tinley Pk from 1976 until 2015 when we decided to get out of Illinois and move...Expand for more
to the country. We bought a nice house on 5 acres in central Indiana, we're a few miles outside of town with corn fields on 3 sides of us and a cow pasture across the street, it's really quiet out here and we LOVE IT. My youngest daughter came with us and lives in the guest house and works at the small hospital in town as a phlebotomist. On nice spring, summer, and fall days I can be found at the shooting range, or on my motorcycle. I spend my evenings sitting by the bond fire having a brewski, good cigar, and playing my guitar. My wife Pam has 3 Cavaler King Charles Spaniels, and I have my best friend in the world, my English Springer Doc who just turned 14 and still thinks he's a puppy. I guess that's about it nothing really exciting, just a good life with a great wife and great kids, oh maybe I should mention I have 6 grand kids Pam would clobber me if I didnt😀.
