Paul's Story
What I can say, my story is probably the same as other black men who grew up on the west during the sixties. In neighborhoods like Henry Horner, Village and Rockwell, where I resided. I finally came to a realization that staying here in Chicago was not beneficial. So I enlisted in the Army where I stayed 5yrs and 3 months. In there God allow me to see a different side of life. I was allowed to finish my high school, get married and finish Junior College. I am truly so thankful to God for allowing me to still be here. I thank God for those friends that I had ...Expand for more
that gave me an encouraging word like David Carter and other friends whom I still cherish that are still living; Clay, Butch, Turk and my close brothers Sam Coffee and Bill Poelinitz. And my story is still unfolding. I currently reside in University Park, IL. I am married. My schools include Crane Technical High School. I later attended Kansas City Kansas Community College (Computer Science and Technology). I've works(ed) at CFTC - U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, FAA, U.S Army. I am currently retired. after working 39 yrs with the US Government.
