Paul's Story
Life
After a year of college and various jobs, I joined the Coast
Guard in October 1968. En route to my first assignment, I
married my High School sweetheart, Sue Graham. Went to
Coast Guard Officer Candidate School in 1975. 32-year CG

d command of four CG Cutters, 16 years of sea
duty, service in Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Atlantic, Pacific,
Caribbean. Retired August 4, 2000 as Captain (O-6) and
moved back to Spokane to begin second career as a
flyfisherman. Hope to actually catch a fish so
