Paul's Story

Life Widowed since Helen went to be with Jesus in 2015, but remarried to Diane in late 2016. I live in Shiremanstown (suburb of Harrisburg), PA. After a quarter-century in IT, I switched careers. I am a tractor trailer driving instructor for Schneider National--my mid-life crisis made me trade in my 25+ years of sitting in an office for a private window office! (my truck). Before I started driving a truck, I was a Systems Analyst in IT, which means Grand Pubah in charge of administravia, coordinator of projects (but not a project manager), and general hand-holder. I have 2 grown kids who are both married (from my 1st marriage), three of Helen's (all married), two grandsons and one granddaughter in Pittsburgh, two grand children (one of which just got married) from my step-daughter (retired Army), one from my youngest step-son and his wife, and two more from my oldest step-son and his wife (both step-sons live in Harrisburg)....Expand for more
Nobody at home now but me and my wife, Diane. Much less hair than I had in school (see photo), and a little grayer. But I feel young! Truck driving takes a lot of time, and the hours aren't always conducive to having much of a life outside of work! :) I do like taking pictures and videos (when time allows) and wish I had time to hone those skills so I could use them professionally. But it's a nice fun hobby for now. I own my home in Shiremanstown, which my wife and I are always remodeling. Workplace I work 50-60 hours a week, on average. But that's okay--I'm also getting paid between 1/2 and 2/3 of what I made working in IT, so my expenses went up--as all our expenses have--but my pay went down to make up for it! :) It all comes out in the wash, though. I don't have to put up with the office politics and stuff like that. I am looking forward to the next reunion, since I was not able to make it to any reunions yet! - Paul

It's been quite some time since I posted an omelet, so I decided to make a delicious one with a few sausage patties today...
