Paula's Story
Life
Where does one start. You probably
wouldn't recognize me. My name is
Paula now. I live just outside Las
Vegas in a small R.V. park. I've been
here since 1996 when I was
released from serving my time to the
state of Arizona for a weapons and
possession charge. Of course, I
was innocent, but try explaining that
to the law. It wasn't all bad though.
After all, this is where I met Raoul.
My "life-Partner". We met in the weight room and bonded almost
immediately. I don't think we've
spent a day apart since. Raoul works a
show just off the strip. It's
the Spice Girl tribute show. (Posh
Spice!) I stay home most of the time to care for our 16 ferrets and work on my performance art. We're hoping to get the ferrets descented in the near future. In the summer this little trailer gets hot. Well, you can imagine the smell.
Raouls mother and her special friend are staying with us until their disability checks start coming in. They've been sleeping in the car because of "allergies". Raouls' daughter, Hildy and her boyfriend, Upshaw will also be staying with us this summer. Hildy goe...Expand for more
s into the ninth grade this September. We're all proud. Hildy is the most adorable girl you've ever met, though some people are put off by her "lazy eye". Upshaw reposseses cars. He's really handy to have around should you lose your keys! He also collects and sells car radios he finds during the day. He's very lucky. I've never once found a car radio. Hildy and Upshaw are getting married next March on Hildys' sweet sixteen. I'm so excited, I'm loaning her one of my dresses! Hopefully, Upshaws divorce will be final by then. "Gets easier each time!", he says. Well, that's about all there is to tell. We're just a happy family in the Nevada Desert! This summer we're thinking of making a trip back to Schenectady. Upshaw says he can get us a great deal on a car rental. If anyone has a place we can sleep for a couple days, let us know. -Paula
I always wanted to be a tobacco farmer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were misinformed.
If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to the IRS, then spend the rest on liquor, hookers and bookees.
