Paul's Story
Hello Friends and Former Classmates -
I guess it's time to put something here if I'm going to be a member!
I am that formerly knappy-headed, fun-loving guy that played a little football, watched a lot of basketball from the sidelines, cooked at Aunt Sarah's(hey, it was good!), studied day and night (ok, mostly day only), got pretty good grades, had a great time, and loved lots of friends, many of whom seem to have disappeared!!!
I live and work in Spotsylvania with my wife of 26 years, Leony. We live in Lee's Hill South and work at Scott Insurance and Financial Services off Lafayette Blvd on Olde Greenwich Drive - now in my 11th year.
We have 3 kids - Robert 24, Eric 23 and Stephanie 20. The guys share a house down in Richmond and Stephanie is a sophmore at JMU. We're getting used to a modified version of the "empty nest" syndrome.
We spend way too much time at work, since the kids are gone, and I spend a lot of time on community service stuff with the Fredericksburg Knights of Columbus, the Chancellor Ruritan Club, and the Child Care Network. Being a long-term board member of the F...Expand for more
redericksburg Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors also takes some time.
I finally had to say "uncle" and quit playing hoops last year when I tore cartilege in my knee at American Family Fitness. It makes me feel better to say that I could have continued indefinitely if it weren't for that 20 year old pushing me when I was going in for a layup that caused my CEM (Career Ending Move). OK, it wasn't much of a career, as you would know if you ever saw me play in high school or college! But I try to stay active and exercise so I'll make it to the next decade.
After High School, I went to Mary Washington ('75 - '79), and worked at Southland Distribution Center for 17 years until it was bought out and bit the dust. Then I went into the financial field where I am today.
We like to go to a couple places in Madison County to relax, and still camping at Big Meadows and other places. We also enjoy travelling, seeing, talking to and being with friends. So drop us a line or look us up in the phone book.
For a family update on Roger, Wally, Gray or my folks, just let me know!
