Paul's Story

May 2022: Will (finally) retire in 4 weeks. Tried once before but the company wouldn't have it. Spending my spare time writing/recording music (mostly acoustic instrumentals) for TV/video background music (haven't made any money with it yet, but that's not the primary goal). You can hear some of my work at taxi.com/members/fretman. The banjo photo you see was taken during a church concert in Chicago - not much call for banjo at church, nor in all of Chicago, in general. Some history for those who care... Got my BSEE at Kansas University and MSEE at Uni...Expand for more
versity of Illinois, then got married to my high school sweetheart, Linda Hoener. Still married to her, too. Have a daughter in Salt Lake City with my 3 grandkids and son-in-law and another daughter in Houston (soon to move back to the Ft Worth area). My career has been doing research at Motorola (19 patents) in Ft Worth, field applications at Analog Devices, applications at Knowles (2 patents) in Chicago, and now field applications at Bourns (back in FW Worth). Life has generally been good to me, but I probably spent too much time playing video games.
