Paul's Story
I live in the Town of Bass Lake, just south of Hayward in Northern Wisconsin. After graduating from Nottingham High School, I attended Northeastern University in Boston and studied Nuclear Power Systems Engineering, receiving a BSEE and a commission in the US Army. After returning from Vietnam, I received an MBA from the State University of NY at Buffalo and later an MS in Strategic Studies from the Army War College. I retired from the military in 1998, having commanded everything from a 12-man Special Forces A-Team to a Brigade. I have served as a corporate COO and CEO as well as the Assistant Finance Director and CIO for the State of Alabama. gistical training to the Afghan Army. I was also responsible. during a portion of that tour. for preparing the monthly briefing for the President of the United States, select members of Congress, and our senior military and civilian leadership on what we had, or had not, accomplished during the previous month as well as reporting on the overall development status of the Afghan Army and Police. I have three children scattered across the US, and so far, I have two grandchildren. I enjoy riding my horse, working with returning veterans as an Equine Theraphy Mentor, and when the snow melts, riding my two motorcycles. For the last two years, I was a snowbird wintering in Texas with my horse and my two dogs. Recently, I became a substitute teacher in the Hayward School district working with children from K-12.
