Paul's Story

Life I have my own business as a computer consultant (Macintosh I don’'t do windows). I was married and have one child that is five years old. Not bad (what took so long?) Now living back in the O.C. Life sure has some strange twists and turns. I lived in Europe for a short time, and then returned home to do something. I was not quite sure at that time, but found myself living in Laguna Beach selling VW's in San Juan Cap. I started working for a band that I had met the lead singer while I was taking art classes at Orange Coast College. They were great fun and good dance music (The Nu-Beams) they were very nu-wave. They played all over the southern Calif. I then went up to work with Wayne Lee and a group called the Plimsouls. Also very good you might remember their big hit, "A Million Miles Away". That was a very strange time but I was able to enjoy all types of bands. After that I moved back to Laguna where I stayed for about two weeks then I moved to Long Beach. I stayed with a friend and his girlfriend in a storefront in downtown Long Beach. That was wild, but after about two weeks she asked me to leave so I ended up sleeping in the back of my car a 1950 Studebaker Starlight Coupe. Then I met a girl that invited me in to stay with her and her seven roommates in a storefront two doors down from my friend. I went back to school at LBCC and ended up taking a fencing class. Then I started teaching foil and selling fencing equipment....Expand for more
And the story goes on from there but for more info you are just going to ask... An update for those who need to know... or that were afraid to ask. Just when you thought I was strange enough, I am getting involved in the American Civil War reenacting group. Want to guess what side I'll be on? I went to one in Long Beach about a month ago and it was a lot of fun, so rally round the flag boys we are going to Dixie! I just completed the event in Huntington Beach and what a weekend it was! I camped out and played with the band. That¿s right with the marching band, seems just like High School. I played my new Eb Alto Horn, as best as I could for not having played for thirty years (for those of you that don't remember I played the Trumpet at FHS and I did play with the marching band, oh God). Well I have the bug, I am growing a mustache and goatee and my hair is getting long (more pics to come) I bought my uniform, yes a southern states one, have to be true to my home state Texas! Now you know why I was such a "Rebel" although the band I play with is a northern band. They made me ware a blue coat, I am so ashamed. The next event is in November up in Moorpark I expect to see you all there! It is on a Saturday and Sunday so no excuses! And if you know any single girls that ware a hoop skirt send her my way, and it wouldn't hurt if she was a southern bell! More later send me an email (kingomac (at)mac(dot)com) if you want more info.
