I lived in the UK where I've resided for the past 22 years. I met Pippa in 1997 and we married in 2000. We have 4 grandchildren, 3 from my side and 1 from her side. My son worked in Tokyo for 5 years and married a lovely Japanese woman. They have two boys and live in Iowa City where son Ben is completing his doctorate. Daughter Rachel lives in Tallahassee, FL where she and her husband are state archaeologists. She just had her first child and my one and only granddaughter. Rachel is the black sheep because she married an American. My stepdaughter Elly married an Iranian and lives in London where she teaches. She just had a son and the one child to which we have immediate contact. I have another stepdaughter living in Cork, Ireland. Interestingly, my first wife Laura to who I've remained good friends for over 40 years, moved to the UK last year. She and her husband join us for holidays.
