After graduating from North Miami Senior High in June 1969, I attended Emory University and then University of Florida. I moved back to North Miami, met my wife Carmen and started my career in the medical device industry. Our first home was an apartment just a few blocks from our high school. During my 40+ year career in medtech, I’ve been very fortunate to have worked with some of the world's most talented surgeons, skilled engineers and world-class investors. Together we’ve started companies developing new technologies and innovations in cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology, neurosurgery, spine surgery and women’s health.
