Paul's Story
Life
After Graduating from Bishop Moore, I went into the Air Force, and that is where I spent the next 24 years. During that time I met my wonderful wife Linda and we will have been married 30 years in Feb 03. We have two children(Paul J., and Tim) and both of whom are now married. Our youngest Tim was just married on May 20, 2002. Paul J. was married in August of 2000.
In the military I spent time in New Mexico, Korea, North Dakota (where I met Linda and we were married), Nebraska, Florida, Germany (almost 9 years) and then back to Nebraska where I retired in 1991.
I came back to Fla in October of 1991 and been here ever since.
My Mom Passed away in April of 1995 and Dad in March of 1999. The only sad news in a very rewarding and full life.
I currently work for ITT Systems Division, Engineering Services. It is a contract with the government evaluating the Eastern and Western Spacelift Ranges and either modernizing or replacing the equipment used to l...Expand for more
aunch spacecraft. Hope to retire in 4 or 5 more years.
As an update, my wife Linda passed away on May 19th, 2005 from Breast Cancer. We had been married 31 years, and had so much to look forward to. But that is life. I miss her very much. It was only 30 days from time of diagnosis to her passing. It was very quick and we hardly had time to prepare. This has been a real wake up as to just how precious our time together was and just how imperative it is that we take advantage of the time that we are allowed.
College
Still working at it.
Workplace
Spent 24 years in the Air Force and retired in 1991. I went to work at Partick AFB in 1992 doing the same thing I did in the military. Then in 2001 I had the oppurtunity to do a complete change in career and went to work for ITT Industries, Systems Division. It has been a real challenge and I have throughly enjoyed the work. In some ways I wish the opurtunity had come about sooner. It has been well worth it.
