Paul's Story
The years have gone by. Well, I have a home now in Monroeville since 1974, at 701 Citadel Drive. I'm retired from my company which was a mortgage business; PSP Financial Home Mortgage & Commercial Loan Corporation, and I'm just spending quality time with my three daughters and their families. I was tremendously and happily married for about 35 years, and so very unfortunately, my wife died 4 years ago. Kathy was a special lady, and became a victim of Ovarian Cancer. I stood by her for 15 years as we fought that courageous battle until the very end. Actually, we stood by each other! She had to put up with me, hanging around loving her. (being a pest)
My life has changed and I don't like it, but I'm slowly learning to move on. I stay pretty busy with my family and those everyday things, and I am alert and looking forward to new and interesting paths and challenges, as the weeks, months, and the years of my life roll by.
I sincerely hope that my former classmates have been as fortunate in their lives as the life that I have been so fortunate to have and to have had. I am so very grateful for a life that has led me to have love, success, and happiness throughout my life,...Expand for more
despite my sluggish beginnings. (I was a poor student) (Mostly because I dozed off in classes, as a student, I worked late each night, not getting enough sleep). (Excuses)
I take time every year to take a vacation to Aruba where I have a Timeshare, that I used to frequently visit with my wife. Aruba is so special! Lately, I have been taking my sister; Geri. We do that every June, and she just can't wait to go. She tells me that her bags are already packed! We have such a great time there, enjoying the resort, playing in the waters of the pool and the Caribbean, and enjoying dining and the pleasures associated with meeting and making friends with new people and the friends that we have gained over the last four years. Looking forward to that flight again this year. I wish my classmates the very best for 2016 and Aruba would be a great place to reunite with any of you guys if you all are there at the very same time, and we happen to run into each other.
I'm sure that each of you understands how nice it is to be out of town and meet one or two of your fellow yinzers as you vacation somewhere out of town. It's always so nice.
