Paul's Story
Graduated from SUNY Cobleskill in 1968 with an AAS in Agronomy. Met my wife, Maryann, there and we married in 1968. We have been married for 49 years in 2017 and have two daughters, three grand-daughters and one grandson. Transferred to Cornell University and received a BS in Entomology in 1970. While at Cornell ran into Gael Jacobsen and Bill Openshaw (where are you, Gael and Bill??). Was a conscientious objector during the Vietnam War. Went to work for Cornell as a technician in the Entomology Department of the next 30 or so years. In 1976 I learned to juggle and performed locally for the next 25 or so years. re. Entered the Employee Degree Program at Cornell at age 46 and finished my PhD (Entomology, again) at age 56 which just goes to show that time flies whether you are having fun or not. Retired from Cornell in 2009 and am now working for USDA in Florida researching citrus insect behavior. Maryann and I are living in a rented condo on the beach (Atlantic side) and feel that sometime soon the local villagers will appear at our door en masse, torches in hand, and demand that we leave the condo building because we "just don't belong here". Love to hear from any of you because we REALLY ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!!!
