THE ÂALTER EGOÂ OF PAUL WOLSKI
A picture may be worth a thousand words and beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but Paul WolskiÂs collection of Alter Ego Pop Art refuses to confine itself within such limitations. The formula is quite simple: avoid tradition, embrace diversity, relate to the audience and be the life of the party.
Within the poses of his vibrant characters and accompanying catch phrases lies the underlining pulse of pop culture  fun, flirtation and a feeling of carefree frivolity.
ÂThereÂs something for everyone to click with in these designs, says Wolski, a lifelong artist and graphic designer of 15 years.
ÂThe dry humor paired with the cool personas makes for a stronger viewer connection; people often identify with one of the characters.Â
PEN & INK VS. MOUSE & MONITOR
There really is a method to the madness. Each installment of Alter Ego Pop Art starts with inspiration, a blank piece of paper and a pencil. From there, it evolves with a bold outline of ink and then gets digital with the help of computer-based art programs. The end result is the colorful illusion somewhere between 2D and 3D, lush and layered yet graphic and minimal  a style yet to be duplicated outside of a full-feature animated film.
THE BLUEPRINT

nt for caricature-driven personalities could be traced back to his first job for Walt Disney Imagineering. While assigned as an environmental graphic designer, Wolski also promoted his illustration ability, thereby combining his talents and earning the role of lead designer and authorized character illustrator for Mickey's Toontown.
After his stint in California, Wolski found himself in Atlanta, Georgia and landed at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. There he enjoyed a succesful five-year run advancing from advertising designer/copy writer to Art Director for the marketing department.
Currently, Wolski manages a career as Art Director with retail design leader Miller Zell and devotes his efforts to Alter Ego Pop Art, receiving customer requests for custom Pop portraits and creating new Egos for future shows. He also manages to squeeze in freelance graphic design, often incorporating elements of Alter Ego Pop Art.
