Paula's Story
I have 20050 characters to tell you about my life. Probably don't need that many. I live in San Diego with my husband, fellow class of '63 graduate, Jerry O'Rourke. We've pretty much been together since the class reunion of '83. Jerry works for a defense contractor and I have been doing mortgage banking, for the most part, for 30 years. Have taken a few brakes to do other things that I enjoy more but don't pay nearly as well. I have two grown sons and two grandsons. I have always been a community activist and have served on several boards and commissions in San Diego over the years. Worked on a lot of campaigns, generally been frustrated a lot, but hasn't stopped me yet. I currently serve as Chair of the Board of Directors of the San Diego American Indian Health Center and chair an annual event for the Council of American Indian Organizati...Expand for more
ons here in San Diego and.....I am one of nine members of an Advisory Panel to the State of California Indian Health Program. Jerry is on the golf course if he isn't working.
One of my sons lives at Lake Tahoe with our two grandsons and we spend a lot of time up there. I've lived here, mostly, since 1965 but Jerry didn't make it out here until 1986 but this is home for him. I think his only requirement for retirement is golf 365 and I doubt there is any place better than San Diego.
I spent a lot of time in Bartlesville during the 2000's as my Mother was ill, she passed away in 2007 and my Father moved to Connecticut to live with my sister, George Ann, so haven't been back since. Need too, though. I have two brothers and their families there.
