Paula's Story
I went to Chestnut Junior High during the 7th and part of the eight grades and then moved to Kentucky. I went to New Hanover High from September 1969 to June 1971 after moving back to Wilmington. I moved to Virginia for my senior year. I went to a small college in southwest Virginia where I met my husband Jim Baird. We married in 1975, moved to Winchester, Virginia for 9 years ...Expand for more
where I taught 4th and 2nd grades. We had 2 children while we lived in Winchester. We moved to Chapel Hill in 1985 and I started working at UNC-CH in Personnel Services. I still work for NC State government as a HR Manager of Classification & Compensation and hope to retire in five to 8 years (depending on the economy). I would love to talk to classmates I went to school with.
